The Citizen CT-S851 thermal receipt printer is a new line of "Intelligent" printers that offers Front Exit thermal receipt printing and a back lit graphic LCD display that communicates with the operator. The Citizen CT-S851 thermal receipt printer is fully compatible with previous Citizen receipt printer models with auto-cut and with competitive manufacturer brands, including the Epson and Bixolon thermal receipt printers with auto-cut. Frustrated when your printer unexpectedly runs out of paper? The Citizen CT-S851 two-line LCD display alerts the operator: "Paper end" "Please change paper." Alternatively, if the front cover is open "F cover open" "Please close front cover." There is an "apps" provided to customize, change or edit the display message on the LCD window. The Citizen CT-S851 thermal receipt printer boasts a print speed of 300mm per second, providing extremely fast printing results. In addition, the CT-S851 can send the printer status back, has a built in buzzer to provide audible alert, and internal power supply. The CT-S851 internal memory is large enough to store logos, footers, custom fonts, keywords and capability to download custom applications. The Citizen CT-S851 can be desktop or wall-mounted and is available with a choice of USB, RS-232 or Centronics parallel interface options. Printer drivers included are: Windows XP (32 and 64 bit), Windows Vista (32 and 64 bit), Java POS, OPOS and CUPS. The CT-S851's delivers greater reliability, longer cutter life and lower maintenance costs adding to the value of the CT-S851 thermal printer.
